Q.        How often do I detox?  How long do I take Cleansing-Balance Tea and Yeast-Para Control? Do you use Cleansing-Balance Tea and Yeast-Para Control at the same time?  Thanks.

A.        If you are in perfect health, your body will need to go through Herbal Detox

at least three to six months in one year.  Most people are not in perfect health; therefore, they need to go through a longer period of detoxification.  Usually, for one year of illness, you need at least one month of detox, provided that you do everything based on principles I described as Anti-Yeast living.  Anti-Yeast living includes an Anti-Yeast Nutritional program, herbal therapy, and stress management.  You can visit my blog: www.drjsblog.com and search for previous articles on the subject.

Yeasts are everywhere.  They are in the air we breathe; in the water we drink; on the surface of vegetables and fruits (especially the skin) we eat; and on the furs of our pets.  Parasites and yeasts go hand in hand.  When there are yeasts, you will also find parasites.  That’s why I formulated Yeast-Para Control to control the growth of yeasts and parasites SIMULTANOUSLY.  I also formulated Cleansing-Balance Tea to flush the debris (toxins) Yeast-Para Control creates.  It also cleanses your liver and kidneys.  Combining Yeast-Para Control and Cleansing-Balance Tea gives you the best cleansing results; therefore I always recommend to take these two formulas together as the most basic for detox and building your immunity.

I specialize in treating yeast and parasitic infections and their related illnesses for both female and male, at any age and any geographical location.  For more information, please call (818) 472-2213 or (800) 715-3053.  Telephone or Skype consultation is also available.  Skype name: academyofvibranthealth.

Q.  I always have pains in my breast starting about two weeks before my monthly cycle.  Can you tell me why?

A.  It seems that you have been experiencing PMS (Pre-Menstrual Syndrome).  PMS usually starts about 10 days before your period.  During that time period, your hormones change.  For example, your estrogen increases.  Your blood volume increases due to the estrogen increase.  Increased blood volume also increases blood sugar that feeds the yeasts and parasites in your body. When your little enemies are well fed, they ferment and release gas that give you pain.  Another reason is that increased blood volume makes your breast gorge and tender to touch.

The solutions include:

1)      Dietary change: adopting an Anti-Yeast nutritional program containing no sugar, no dairy, no wheat, no yeasts, no alcohol, no caffeine, no nicotine, nor chemicals.  Particularly avoid sugar since it may cause mood swings.  My yeast-free cookbook, Healthy and Tasty: Dr. J’s Anti-Yeast Cooking gives more information about what you can eat and what to avoid.  You can visit our website at www.drjsbest.com and order the e-book.

2)   Herbal Therapy:  When you experience PMS, usually your body is toxic.  My suggestion is to begin with our Herbal Detox program (Yeast-Para Control and Cleansing-Balance Tea).  Combine this with Female Vitality to yield fast relief.  Usually my clients report relief after one or two cycles.

3)    Exercise Regularly:

Whatever exercise you are used to, maintain it.  You may also add slow walking of 30 minutes a day.  Exercise improves your blood circulation and prevents the blood volume to stagnate in certain parts of your body.

4)    Manage Stress Effectively:

Stress is correlated with the severity of PMS.  Go to my website: www.drjsbest.com to download a FREE 10-Minute Meditation guide.  If you practice this “fast” meditation method daily, you will soon be in peace and harmony with your body, mind and spirit.

In the previous articles, I addressed Step I:  understanding the cause(s) of overweight condition, and Step 2: developing a weight loss Meal Plan – an anti-yeast nutritional program.   In this article I will discuss Step 3: using herbal therapy to cleanse yeasts and parasites to boost your immunity, energy and metabolism, Step 4: managing your stress effectively to stop or prevent emotional eating, and Step 5: defining your life purpose.

Step 3: Herbal Therapy:

Detox:

An anti-yeast nutritional program prevents new toxins from entering your body.  Chinese herbal therapy removes existing toxins so that your body’s innate intelligence will be activated for optimal function.

Yeasts and parasites tend to go to the weak areas in your body to develop their colonies.  If your thyroid is weak to begin with, then they can build their home there and further weaken your thyroid function.  A strong herbal formula is needed to remove excess yeasts and parasites simultaneously.  Our Yeast-Para Control formula is designed for that purpose.  Because yeasts and parasites go hand in hand, you must cleanse both simultaneously to improve your immunity, energy and metabolism.

In addition to loosening up the toxins created by yeasts and parasites, you need to flush the toxins.  Our Cleansing-Balance Tea is designed for that purpose, with the emphasis on cleansing liver and kidneys.

Fitness:

In addition to detoxifying your thyroid, it’s also important to nourish your body and starve yeasts and parasites so that you can stop sugar craving.  Herbal Cocktailis a high protein herbal drink and will accomplish that purpose.  Herbal Cocktailis also rich in digestive enzymes which inhibit the overgrowth of yeasts and parasites and improves your digestive function.

Another fitness formula is Fitness Regular, a fat blocker.  If you carelessly ingest fatty food, Fitness Regular will block the fat from forming fatty tissues in your body.  The side benefits are lowering your high blood sugar, high cholesterol and high blood pressure.

Last but not least is Fitness Plus, a fat burnerFitness Plus will burn the excess fat in your body and turn it into energy for you.  When you combine the Detox and Fitness programs, you will greatly improve your immunity, energy and metabolism.

Step 4: Managing Stress Effectively to Stop or Prevent Emotional Eating

Stress is a part of life.  If you manage stress effectively, it can propel you to the next level of success.  In my book, Breaking the Yeast Curse: Food and Unconditional Love for Magic Healing, there are several tools you can use to manage your stress effectively.  One simple but effective tool is my 10-minute meditation guide.  Go to www.drjsbest.com to claim this invaluable free gift.  Another tool is to write reconcile letters.  Follow the steps detailed in my book.  Once you release negative emotions such as anger, resentment, fear, doubt, guilt, and regret, you will stop or prevent emotional eating, and in turn, stop weight yo-yo’s.

Step 5: Defining the Purpose of Your Life

When you go through challenges in life and struggles with your weight, you might ask,

“Why me?”

“Why is life is so difficult for me?”

“What is the purpose of this?”

“Why am I here?”

“What is the purpose of life?”

“What is the meaning of life?”

“What is life all about”

According to Plato, purpose of life (or meaning of life) is attaining the highest form of knowledge.  Aristotle, Plato’s apprentice, defines purpose of life as achieving eudaemonia.  Eudaemonia is an ancient Greek word.  It consists of the words “eu” (good) and “daemon” (a type of supernatural being).   It is therefore translated as “happiness”, “well-being”, “flourishing”, and “excellence.”  Another Greek philosopher Epicurus defines happiness in its highest form as freedom from pain and freedom from fear.

My definition for purpose of life for each and every one of us is very simple:

“Constantly improving the quality of life and help others achieve the same!”

In order to achieve this purpose of life, we need to keep learning, growing, and expanding on the spiritual path so that we can be free of pain and free of fear; and meanwhile, help others achieve the same!

In your journey to weight loss, constantly remind yourself that there is a purpose for your struggle with the weight issue, and you will be able to remove all the obstacles.  You will be able to achieve the highest level of well-being and happiness through the journey.  After you triumph, you will be able to help others achieve the same!

In the process of taking theses five essential steps to achieve healthy and fast weight loss, remember the commonsense approach:  Regular exercise, proper hydration, and adequate amounts of sleep and rest are also essential.

If you follow all of the strategies detailed above, you will be able to reach your weight goals in a healthy way within the least possible amount of time!

I believe in Dr. J and her products!  I used to catch flu and colds all the time from my grandchildren who are school kids.  I have been on Dr. J’s Herbal Detox program (Yeast-Para Control and Cleansing-Balance Tea) and Female Vitality for one month.  I am amazed that when my husband and grandchildren caught colds, I don’t get them like I used to!  Obviously my immune system has become stronger because of the herbs!

I also follow the principles in Dr. J’s books (Breaking the Yeast Curse: Food and Unconditional Love for Magic Healing and Healthy and Tasty: Dr. J’s Anti-Yeast Cooking).  They certainly help me stay away from sugar, dairy, and wheat products.  Actually it’s not that hard when I learned to use the substitutes based on Dr. J’s cookbook.

Dr. J recommended that I should stay on the full dosage of the herbal formulas for another three to six months.  Needlessly to say, I am ordering the herbal products again!  Thanks Dr. J!

This three-part article discusses five essential steps to healthy and fast weight loss.  In the previous article, I addressed Step I:  Understanding the causes of overweight condition.  They include: poor dietary habits, yeast and parasitic infection, hypothyroidism, psychological stress, and spiritual imbalance.  Usually multiple causes intertwine with each other.

Once you identify the causes of your overweight condition, you can focus on correcting the issues.  Let’s now discuss a very important step: Developing a Weight Loss Meal Plan.

What I am going to discuss here is called Dr. J’s Anti-Yeast Nutritional Program.  This life-long nutritional program contains “Eight Commandments”: no sugar, no dairy, no wheat, no yeasts, no caffeine, no alcohol, no nicotine, nor chemicals.

1)   No Sugar:

Sugar is poison! Sugar overworks the thyroid and pancreas.  Continuous overworking of these two vital glands can result in their exhaustion and sluggish metabolic function. Consequently, weight gain, low energy, irritability, anxiety, depression, poor mental concentration, and mood swings become common symptoms.

2)    No Dairy:

Dairy products include whole or skim milk, ice cream, cheese, yogurt and butter.  These are favorite foods for yeasts and parasites and are mucous-producing.  Hypothyroidism (low thyroxin production), bloating, sinus headaches, snoring, sore throats, asthma, bronchial infections, coughs, postnasal drips, halitosis, and constipation are common symptoms associated with mucous problems.

3)    No Wheat:

Wheat gluten is a favorite food for yeasts and parasites and is mucous-producing.  Most people believe that wheat is a nutritious grain and they therefore consume a large amount of wheat products on a daily basis.  When yeasts and parasites are well-fed with their favorite foods such as wheat, they multiply quickly.  In addition to sucking your nutrition through their strong, vampire-like hooks, they also deposit toxins after a hearty feast.  The toxins they release can cause many kinds of allergy symptoms.

4)    No Yeasts:

Yeasts belong to the fungus family which consists of at least 100,000 to 250,000 species.  They include yeasts, mold, mildew, rots, smuts and mushrooms.  The function of yeasts is to break down dead bodies so that organic matter can be turned into its basic elements of oxygen, nitrogen, carbon and phosphorus.  However, overgrowth of yeasts can also break down living organisms.   They tend to build a colony in the areas of your body that are weak and have no defense.   For example, if your thyroid is weak to begin with, the gland can further deteriorate by yeast overgrowth.

5)    No Alcohol:

Alcohol is a product of fermented wheat or fruits (i.e. grapes).  Fermentation requires yeasts.  Sugar is a by-product of this fermentation.  When drinking alcoholic beverages, you are ingesting yeasts, sugar and chemicals all at once — a triple whammy!

Alcohol is particularly detrimental to a person who is infected with yeasts and parasites because of the “triple whammy” effect.  Yeasts in the alcohol add to the existing yeast population in the body.  The result is more bloating because more yeasts are fermenting!  Sugar feeds the yeasts and parasites and enables them to thrive.  Alcohol is ethanol which is a thought-altering chemical.   Therefore, it can make the foggy mind even foggier!

6)   No Caffeine:

While drinking coffee or tea may be an upper for you, it also makes your little enemies in your body, yeasts and parasites, very happy!  Coffee is acidic which forms a base for yeasts and parasite to grow.  In order to neutralize the acidity, your body will have to draw alkaline from your bones (calcium).  Therefore, if you are a long-term, heavy coffee drinker, you might have calcium deficiency as well.

7)    No Nicotine:

Nicotine is another favorite food for yeasts and parasites.  Even if you are a non-smoker, secondary inhalation can be just as detrimental.  Some smokers complained that when they stopped smoking, they gained weight.  One possible explanation is that when they smoked, their bodies hosted a large amount of yeasts and parasites.  These little enemies can eat them away and create a delusion that they weigh less.

8)    No Chemicals:

Artificial sweeteners, artificial food coloring and flavoring, drugs (including medication, LSD, heroin, cocaine, marijuana, etc.) are all chemicals.  Chemicals can clog the liver and kidneys easily.  When the liver and kidneys are clogged with chemicals, they cannot excrete toxins efficiently.  When toxins are backed up, the immune system becomes sluggish.  Consequently, the opportunistic organisms such as yeasts and parasites are allowed to thrive.

Once you follow Dr. J’s Eight Commandments, you will experience rapid weight loss.  Your tummy can be flattened in a matter of weeks.  My clients have reported that by far these Eight Commandments are the most effective Weight Loss Meal Plan they have experienced!

In the next article, I will discuss the remaining steps you can take to ensure a healthy, fast and yet long-lasting weight loss.  Stay tuned!

Five Essential Steps to Healthy and Fast Weight Loss — Part 1

By Dr. Juliet Tien (Dr. J), D. N. Sc.

Once upon a time, I was called “little pig” because I was only five feet tall, and I was 50 pounds overweight!  In addition to being overweight, I also suffered a cluster of health issues such as mind fog, chronic fatigue, depression, sugar craving, arthritis-like aches and pains (fibromyalgia), eczema, athlete foot, etc.  At that time, nobody knew what I had.  When I look back, I realize what I had was a severe case of yeast and parasitic infection!

It took me a total of six (6) years to figure out how to lose those stubborn 50 pounds and become physically and mentally fit.  In this three-part article, I will condense my life-long journey into five simple steps for you to achieve healthy and fast weight loss in just a few weeks.

Step I:  Understanding the cause(s) of overweight condition:

Major causes of being overweight include poor dietary habits, yeast and parasitic infections, thyroid dysfunction, psychological stress and spiritual imbalance.

1)   Poor Dietary Habits:

As I’ve stated in my book, Healthy & Tasty: Dr. J’s Anti-Yeast Cooking, an average American eats 120 pounds of sugar per year.  From birth to age 70, the average American eats eight cows, nine pigs and 15,000 eggs.  A well-balanced diet should contain less than 20% fat, less than 20% protein and more than 40% complex carbohydrates.  Excess intake of fat, protein and sugar can turn into an over-storage of fat.  Americans also tend to overeat or not to eat at regular hours.  Some skip breakfast and others have big meals right before bedtime.  Irregular hours and portions can confuse your biological clock and jeopardize your metabolic function.

2)   Yeast and Parasitic Infections:

Yeast and parasitic infections are misdiagnosed and improperly treated by most medical professionals.  In addition to all the symptoms from head to toe such as foggy mind, allergies, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), low energy, immune deficiency, arthritis-like aches and pains (fibromyalgia), skin rash, vaginal yeast infections, male yeast infections, anal itch, fungal nails, depression, anxiety, loss of sexual interest, etc, an overweight condition can also persist.

Yeasts and parasites can creep into any part of your body, especially in areas which are weak to begin with.  For instance, if your thyroid gland is weak, then opportunistic yeasts and parasites can particularly affect your metabolic function and cause further deterioration.  If yeast and parasitic infections are not treated, the weight problem will persist.  Some clients complained to me that they gained weight even if they just drank water!  Even though they may not have been as innocent as they portrayed themselves to be, there is some degree of reality in their complaint.  The fact is that it is very difficult for them to lose weight, no matter how hard they try.

3)   Hypothyroidism:

Severe hypothyroidism manifests symptoms such as obesity, constipation, dry skin, cold intolerance, hair loss, puffy face and mental retardation.  Contributing factors include congenital and environmental.  The latter includes poor eating habits.  Constant excessive consumption of sugar causes overwork and exhaustion of the thyroid gland.  On top of that, untreated yeast and parasitic infections will further weaken the thyroid function.

4)   Psychological Stress:

Some people thrive on chaos.  They tend to be in constant crises.  Because they are used to a dysfunctional behavioral pattern, they feel anxious or uncomfortable if their lives are peaceful.  Somehow they have to create a situation in which their frantic behavior can be justified.

People who are not able to manage stress effectively tend to indulge themselves in emotional eating.  Food is a symbol of love and comfort across cultures, especially for those who associate food with parental approval, love and attention.

5)   Spiritual Imbalance:

As I’ve stated in my book, Breaking the Yeast Curse: Food and Unconditional Love for Magic Healing, many overweight people suffer from spiritual imbalance because they carry a great deal of ‘unfinished businesses’ on their shoulders.  In most cases, they crave approval from their parents.   Some are angry and hurt because they were abused sexually, mentally or physically during their childhood.

The predominant emotions are anger, resentment, grief and regret.  Some even feel sorry for themselves and feel that their negative feelings are well justified.  Usually they are unclear about the purpose of their existences.  They tend to “live to eat,” instead of “eat to live.”

Understanding the causes for your overweight condition will help you focus on the issues you need to work through.  Usually there is a combination of causes.  Therefore, if you want to achieve a long-lasting result in weight loss, you need to employ a holistic approach to balance your body, mind and spirit.

In the next article, I will discuss how you can develop a Weight Loss Meal Plan and use Chinese herbal therapy to cleanse yeasts and parasites and boost your metabolism.  Stay tuned!

Standard American Diet (SAD) usually contains a large amount of sugar, dairy, wheat, and yeasts.  In the past few weeks I have been posting why these food items are detrimental to your health.

Hopefully it is clear to you now that sugar, dairy, wheat and yeast products are favorite foods for yeasts and parasites.  Unfortunately, a great number of people live on these foods.  When you feed the favorite foods to yeasts and parasites, they are so happy that they start an instant rock n’and roll party!  After having a great time, like any other beings, they have to go to the bathroom.  They then use your body as a toilet to dump lots of toxins.

When they suck your energy through their strong, vampire-like hooks, you experience extreme fatigue or lethargy because when you eat, you are actually feeding an extended family in your body.  When yeasts and parasites deposit toxins, you may suffer from allergy symptoms such as sinus congestion, headaches, arthritis-like aches and pains, lower back pain, bloatedness, constipation, or bladder or kidney infections.  Yeasts, parasites and their toxins can clog the liver, pancreas and thyroid and make your blood sugar metabolism sluggish.  This is one of the causes for hypoglycemia (low blood sugar).  Hypoglycemia can then contribute to headaches, foggy mind, poor mental concentration, poor memory and irritability.  Another factor contributing to your foggy mind is that when yeasts ferment in your body, a by-product, ammonia, can alter your thinking process and cause disorientation.
