Fibromyalgia is treatable!

Most literature indicates that the cause of fibromyalgia is unknown.  However, based on my more than three decades of clinical experience working with people with fibromyalgia, I have found that the major causes of fibromyalgia include yeast and parasitic infections, poor dietary habits, lack of exercise (including sexercise), the perception of being un-loved, emotional and/or physical trauma, and stress.

My clients have found that the following holistic remedies are effective in stopping widespread chronic pain as well as clear related symptoms such as sleep disturbances, headaches, fatigue, and mind fog.

1)    Yeast-Free Nutrition:

The Standard American Diet (SAD) is usually loaded with sugar, dairy, wheat, yeasts, and caffeine.  These foods feed the yeasts and parasites in your body.  When your little enemies are well-fed, they have rock-n-roll parties and then deposit toxic waste in your body.  This is one of the major causes of widespread pain!  If you also smoke or drink, the nicotine and alcohol would further feed the yeasts and parasites and worsen the situation!  My yeast-free cookbook,  Healthy and Tasty: Dr. J’s Anti-Yeast Cooking will give you guidelines in terms of what to eat and what to avoid.

2)    Herbal Therapy:

The onset of fibromyalgia is usually brought on by feelings of not being loved.  Develop a habit of doing things to pamper yourself such as periodic massage, manicure, etc. Do not rely on others to give you love and approval. Give yourself a big dose of vitamin L (L for love!)

5)    Stress Management:

Stress can exacerbate fibromyalgia symptoms.  There are many stress reduction techniques in my book, Breaking the Yeast Curse: Food and Unconditional Love for Magic Healing.  Practice them daily, and you will find that stress is actually an opportunity to propel you to the next level of success!

6)    Sexercise:

Sexercise can improve your self-esteem, blood circulation, and self-love, and thus eliminate your fibromyalgia symptoms.  If you don’t have a partner, I suggest that you find one!

As explained previously, the major causes for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) include psychological, dietary and yeast-related factors.  Therefore, only a holistic treatment regimen will yield long-lasting results.  Based on my clients’ responses, the following have been the most effective self-administered treatment methods.

 

Boosting Energy:         

            The most important first step is to boost energy level so that you can perform basic activities in your life.  A yeast-free nutritional program is essential to nourish your body with the right kind of food.  At the same time, you would starve the yeasts and parasites which have been partially responsible for the debilitating condition of CFS.  A yeast-free nutritional program will control the fermentation and destruction of your cells and tissues.  This, in turn, will improve your body’s ability to absorb and utilize essential nutrients.  To learn what to eat and what to avoid, follow my yeast-free cookbook, Healthy and Tasty: Dr. J’s Anti-Yeast Cooking.

Exercise: 

People with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome can easly sleep 10 to 16 hours a day and still feel fatigued.  Exercise would be the last thing they want to do.  Remember, yeasts love a still environment that has no air.  When your body is immobile, your blood circulation is poor and your oxygen supply is insufficient.  This creates an excellent incubator for yeasts and parasites to overgrow! 

 

Force yourself to start with five minutes of slow walking around the house or around the block.  Slowly increase to 30 minutes a day.   You will find that you are invigorated after each slow walk.  You will have better results if you walk outdoors. 

During the recuperating period, there is one danger to keep in mind.  A few days to a few weeks after you get on the right track, you may begin to experience surges of energy.  This is an exciting feeling!  This excitement often leads you to overdo it again!   

Ellen is a good example:

 

            After suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for several years, Ellen was so excited about her “new found energy.”  Three weeks into our holistic treatment, she woke up one morning with a surge of energy.  She quickly resumed the activity level she used to have before the onset of Chronic Fatigue  Syndrome.   She cleaned the house, did the laundry and grocery shopping, and then went to the gym.  While she was working out in the gym, she collapsed and fell on her face!   

          

            Remember the principle of healing?  For one year of illness, it takes at least one month to heal.  Allow your energy reserve to build up.  Don’t exhaust your reservor too quickly.

   

            Slow walking is recommended for the first three to six months during the recovery period.  After that, any vigorous exercise should be introduced slowly, based on your body’s ability to handle it.

 

 

Re-Establishing Self-Image:           

            The onset of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is coupled with the loss of self.  Seek proper professional help to reestablish a sense of self.  Many caretakers give their care or love to make themselves feel important and thus feel loved or respected.  In order to be loved and respected by others, you must love and respect yourself first.  See yourself as the most important human being on Earth.  Exercise the art of selfishness.   Learn to take care of yourself first before you take care of others.   

            Practice self-love and self-respect.  Write a brief note or buy a card to praise yourself whenever you accomplish something.   Take yourself to a movie or a shopping trip if you feel a little down.  Develop a support system with which you can share your joys and agonies.  Being a “lone ranger” can be very fatiguing. 

            Allow yourself to receive love and care.  Every so often revert to the child stage to ask for love and attention.  If you don’t know how, just observe young children.  They will show you how you can ask for love and attention without allowing your ego or pride get in the way.

           

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome comes from chronic neglect of yourself emotionally and physically.  No doctors out there can cure you but yourself.  A Chinese proverb says, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.” Take your first step, no matter how hard it is.  Each following step will become easier and easier.  Sooner or later, you will step out of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome!
