Q.        Are laboratory tests accurate in detecting the presence of yeasts and parasites?

A.        Modern technology is improving in terms of detecting the presence of yeasts and parasites.  However, most laboratory tests and x-rays cannot do the job accurately.   Even though the recent development of DNA testing is far superior to all previous tests, the scope is limited.  Why?  Yeasts and parasites have more than 250,000 species.  Candida albicans alone has a family of more than 40 strains of harmful yeasts.  No test up to date can detect them all!

Based on my more than three decades of clinical experience, the best assessment of yeast and parasitic infections is the observation of the eyes, skin, tongue and knowledge of a detailed health history.   Most importantly, when my clients are on our Herbal Detox program, within days they will see the “evidence” in the toilet such as:

Debris of Yeasts

Cloudy or mucousy materials in the urine or stool.  Some of my clients described them as “the Milky Way” or “clouds under the water.”

Eggs of Parasites:

They look like sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, undigested brown rice, or broken corn.  You can see them in your stool or menstrual blood clots.

Mature Worms:

In this article, I will address natural, drug-free treatment for yeast and parasitic infections based on my more than 30 years of clinical experience working with people from all walks of life:

1)    Anti-Yeast Nutrition:

For starters, adopt an Anti-Yeast Nutritional program for life.  This nutritional program contains no sugar, no dairy, no wheat, no yeasts, no alcohol, no caffeine, no nicotine, nor chemicals.  My clients call it “Dr. J’s Eight Commandments.”  Examples of great recipes for this program can be found in my cookbook: Healthy and Tasty: Dr. J’s Anti-Yeast Cooking.  This program is designed to starve the yeasts and parasites, nourish your body with good nutrients, and prevent new toxins from being created and built up in your body.

2)    Herbal Therapy to Remove Excess Yeasts And Parasites:

4)    Exercise to Prevent Yeast and Parasitic Infections:

As stated in the previous article, yeasts and parasites love a still environment.  That’s why you might have symptoms such as sleep disorders, sinus congestion, snoring, or sleep apnea at night when you are relatively immobile.  People in the wheel chairs also have a tendency to develop urinary tract infections (UTI) caused by the overgrowth of yeasts.  If you are too tired to exercise, just start with a few minutes of slow walking or in-place jogging and gradually build up.  If you are in the wheel chair, you can also do “chair dancing” to improve your blood circulation and prevent the overgrowth of yeasts and parasites.

5)    Change Environments:

As explained before, yeasts and parasites are everywhere.   A damp environment such as woodlands and seaside dwellings, or a dusty environment such as construction sites all provide an incubator for yeasts and parasites to overgrow.  If you are exposed to yeasty or dusty environments, you are prone to having flare ups of yeast and parasitic infections.  Move to an environment which may be more suitable to improving your health.  If that is not possible, just take my Herbal Detox program (Yeast-Para Control and Cleansing-Balance Tea) routinely to remove excess yeasts and parasites.

6)    Overuse of Antibiotics or Potent Drugs:

As described in my book, Breaking the Yeast Curse: Food and Unconditional Love for Magic Healing, antibiotics or potent drugs may provide you with temporary relief.   However, the “good guys” such as bacteria floras in the intestines take a long time to re-establish, while the “bad guys” such as harmful yeasts take no time to comeback since they are air-borne and everywhere!  Thus, yeast overgrowth quickly occurs.  Worst of all, yeasts and parasites are like Siamese Twins.  They come hand in hand.  They both can create symptoms for you from head to toe.  My suggestion is avoiding antibiotics or potent drugs whenever possible.  Call me or consult with your holistic health care provider for alternatives before you take any antibiotics or potent drugs.

7)    Prevent Traveler’s Disease:

If you travel to an unfamiliar environment, I would suggest that you only drink a familiar brand of bottled water and eat food prepared by clean, prestigious hotels.  Avoid raw vegetables (salads).  Wash the fruits thoroughly and peel the skin before eating them.  Although there is no guarantee, take every precaution possible to prevent yeast and parasitic infections.

In this article, I will address the major causes of yeast and parasitic infections based on my more than 30 years of clinical experience working with people from all walks of life:

1)    Poor Dietary Habits:

As I pointed out repeatedly, Standard American Diet creates many “sad” stories because it’s loaded with favorite foods for yeasts and parasites.  This includes sugar, dairy, wheat, yeasts, alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, and chemicals.  When yeasts and parasites are well fed, they have rock n’ roll parties.  After the parties, they deposit toxic waste in your body and cause the symptoms described in the previous article.

2)    Stress:

Stress, if managed ineffectively, can weaken your immune system and allow yeasts and parasites to overgrow.  The analogy is very simple.  If a community has a strong police force, gang activities will be under control.  If the police force is weak, the terror of gang activities will control the community.  The same is true with your immunity and the overgrowth of yeasts and parasites.

3)    Lack of exercise:

Yeasts and parasites love a still environment.  Immobility provides a still environment for the overgrowth of yeasts and parasites.  That’s why you might have symptoms such as sleep disorder, sinus congestion, snoring, or sleep apnea at night.  People in wheel chairs also have a tendency to develop urinary tract infection (UTI) caused by the overgrowth of yeasts.

4)    Environmental Factors:

Yeasts are everywhere.  They are in the air you breathe, the water you drink, the carpet you sit on, the furniture you use, and the furs of your pets.   A damp environment such as woodlands and seaside dwellings, or dusty environments such as construction sites all provide an incubator for yeasts and parasites to overgrow.  If you are exposed to yeasty or dusty environments, you are prone to have flare ups of yeast and parasitic infections.

6)    Traveler’s Disease:

When you travel to areas where they may have water or air pollution, or their produce and fruits are contaminated with yeasts and parasites, then you are prone to come back home with “Traveler’s Disease.”

I just came across some friends who have been suffering from a cluster of symptoms which are typical when infected by yeasts and parasites.  However, they did not know what they had, and whom to turn to for help.  The purpose of this three-part article is to educate you in terms of prevention and early treatment for yeast and parasitic infections.  Specifically, I will address the symptoms, causes and treatment methods for this epidemic.

 

Common Symptoms of Yeast and Parasitic Infections:

As detailed in my book: Breaking the Yeast Curse: Food and Unconditional Love for Magic Healing, symptoms of yeast and parasitic infections range from head to toe.  The most common symptoms presented by my clients are:

1)     Mind Fog:

When yeasts ferment in your body, they release a chemical substance called propyl alcohol.  That substance can make you feel “drunk” and experience foggy mind.

2)     Fatigue: 

Yeasts and parasites use their vampire-like hooks to hook onto your mucous membrane and suck out the nutrients.  Because you are feeding an extended family, you experience malnourishment and low energy.

3)     Depression:

Because of mind fog and chronic fatigue, you feel non-motivated, inactive, underachieved, and thus depressed.

4)     Sugar Craving:

As described in my yeast-free cookbook, Healthy and Tasty: Dr. J’s Anti-Yeast Cooking, sugar, dairy, wheat, yeast, alcohol, caffeine, and nicotine feed your little enemies: yeasts and parasites, especially sugar.  The more sugary foods you eat, the more yeasts and parasites scream, “Feed me!  Feed me!”

5)     Allergies:

When you feed yeasts and parasites their favorite foods described above, they have a rock n’ roll party.  After the party, they go to the toilet within you and deposit their toxic waste.  Therefore, you can have many sorts of allergies including respiratory and food allergies.

6)     Sleep Disorder:

Yeasts and parasites love a still environment because that allows them to grow and expand more easily.  Therefore, they are active while you are in bed.  Consequently, their “activities” can keep you awake.

7)     Declining Eyesight:

Mind fog, chronic fatigue, depression and sleep disorder can all affect your eyesight.  Moreover, when parasites get into your eyes, they can cause macular degeneration.  In worst case scenarios, when flat worms get behind your eye balls, they can even cause blindness.

8)     Arthritis-like Aches and Pain:

When you have a severe case of yeast and parasitic infection, you might have systemic body aches and pain.  The toxic waste deposited by yeasts and parasites can cause severe inflammation and thus the pain.  Because yeasts and parasites move around, theses aches and pains also shift around your body.

9)     Acid Reflux:

Acid reflux can be a symptom associated with yeast and parasitic infections in the digestive tract.   The presence of yeasts and parasites interfere with the digestive function of hydrochloride.  When your body is more acidic vs. alkaline, it provides an environment for yeasts and parasites to overgrow.  Thus, a vicious cycle ensues.

10) Evidence in the toilet:

Eggs of parasites may look like sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, broken corn, or white specs in the stool.  Worse yet, you might see string cheese-like items in the toilet. These are mature worms.   Yeasts may look like cotton, or hair, or clouds in your urine.  Sometimes they show up as thick mucus.  When you see the above in your toilet, you know that you have a severe infestation.

Q.        How often do I detox?  How long do I take Cleansing-Balance Tea and Yeast-Para Control? Do you use Cleansing-Balance Tea and Yeast-Para Control at the same time?  Thanks.

A.        If you are in perfect health, your body will need to go through Herbal Detox

Q.  I always have pains in my breast starting about two weeks before my monthly cycle.  Can you tell me why?

 

A.  It seems that you have been experiencing PMS (Pre-Menstrual Syndrome).  PMS usually starts about 10 days before your period.  During that time period, your hormones change.  For example, your estrogen increases.  Your blood volume increases due to the estrogen increase.  Increased blood volume also increases blood sugar that feeds the yeasts and parasites in your body. When your little enemies are well fed, they ferment and release gas that give you pain.  Another reason is that increased blood volume makes your breast gorge and tender to touch.

In the previous articles, I addressed Step I:  understanding the cause(s) of overweight condition, and Step 2: developing a weight loss Meal Plan – an anti-yeast nutritional program.   In this article I will discuss Step 3: using herbal therapy to cleanse yeasts and parasites to boost your immunity, energy and metabolism, Step 4: managing your stress effectively to stop or prevent emotional eating, and Step 5: defining your life purpose.

 

Step 3: Herbal Therapy:

Detox:

According to Plato, purpose of life (or meaning of life) is attaining the highest form of knowledge.  Aristotle, Plato’s apprentice, defines purpose of life as achieving eudaemonia.  Eudaemonia is an ancient Greek word.  It consists of the words “eu” (good) and “daemon” (a type of supernatural being).   It is therefore translated as “happiness”, “well-being”, “flourishing”, and “excellence.”  Another Greek philosopher Epicurus defines happiness in its highest form as freedom from pain and freedom from fear.

My definition for purpose of life for each and every one of us is very simple:

“Constantly improving the quality of life and help others achieve the same!”

In order to achieve this purpose of life, we need to keep learning, growing, and expanding on the spiritual path so that we can be free of pain and free of fear; and meanwhile, help others achieve the same!

In your journey to weight loss, constantly remind yourself that there is a purpose for your struggle with the weight issue, and you will be able to remove all the obstacles.  You will be able to achieve the highest level of well-being and happiness through the journey.  After you triumph, you will be able to help others achieve the same!

In the process of taking theses five essential steps to achieve healthy and fast weight loss, remember the commonsense approach:  Regular exercise, proper hydration, and adequate amounts of sleep and rest are also essential.

If you follow all of the strategies detailed above, you will be able to reach your weight goals in a healthy way within the least possible amount of time!

I believe in Dr. J and her products!  I used to catch flu and colds all the time from my grandchildren who are school kids.  I have been on Dr. J’s Herbal Detox program (Yeast-Para Control and Cleansing-Balance Tea) and Female Vitality for one month.  I am amazed that when my husband and grandchildren caught colds, I don’t get them like I used to!  Obviously my immune system has become stronger because of the herbs!

Five Essential Steps to Healthy and Fast Weight Loss — Part 1

Once upon a time, I was called “little pig” because I was only five feet tall, and I was 50 pounds overweight!  In addition to being overweight, I also suffered a cluster of health issues such as mind fog, chronic fatigue, depression, sugar craving, arthritis-like aches and pains (fibromyalgia), eczema, athlete foot, etc.  At that time, nobody knew what I had.  When I look back, I realize what I had was a severe case of yeast and parasitic infection!

It took me a total of six (6) years to figure out how to lose those stubborn 50 pounds and become physically and mentally fit.  In this three-part article, I will condense my life-long journey into five simple steps for you to achieve healthy and fast weight loss in just a few weeks.

Step I:  Understanding the cause(s) of overweight condition:

Major causes of being overweight include poor dietary habits, yeast and parasitic infections, thyroid dysfunction, psychological stress and spiritual imbalance.

1)   Poor Dietary Habits:

As I’ve stated in my book, Healthy & Tasty: Dr. J’s Anti-Yeast Cooking, an average American eats 120 pounds of sugar per year.  From birth to age 70, the average American eats eight cows, nine pigs and 15,000 eggs.  A well-balanced diet should contain less than 20% fat, less than 20% protein and more than 40% complex carbohydrates.  Excess intake of fat, protein and sugar can turn into an over-storage of fat.  Americans also tend to overeat or not to eat at regular hours.  Some skip breakfast and others have big meals right before bedtime.  Irregular hours and portions can confuse your biological clock and jeopardize your metabolic function.

2)   Yeast and Parasitic Infections:

Yeast and parasitic infections are misdiagnosed and improperly treated by most medical professionals.  In addition to all the symptoms from head to toe such as foggy mind, allergies, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), low energy, immune deficiency, arthritis-like aches and pains (fibromyalgia), skin rash, vaginal yeast infections, male yeast infections, anal itch, fungal nails, depression, anxiety, loss of sexual interest, etc, an overweight condition can also persist.

Yeasts and parasites can creep into any part of your body, especially in areas which are weak to begin with.  For instance, if your thyroid gland is weak, then opportunistic yeasts and parasites can particularly affect your metabolic function and cause further deterioration.  If yeast and parasitic infections are not treated, the weight problem will persist.  Some clients complained to me that they gained weight even if they just drank water!  Even though they may not have been as innocent as they portrayed themselves to be, there is some degree of reality in their complaint.  The fact is that it is very difficult for them to lose weight, no matter how hard they try.

3)   Hypothyroidism:

Severe hypothyroidism manifests symptoms such as obesity, constipation, dry skin, cold intolerance, hair loss, puffy face and mental retardation.  Contributing factors include congenital and environmental.  The latter includes poor eating habits.  Constant excessive consumption of sugar causes overwork and exhaustion of the thyroid gland.  On top of that, untreated yeast and parasitic infections will further weaken the thyroid function.

4)   Psychological Stress:

Some people thrive on chaos.  They tend to be in constant crises.  Because they are used to a dysfunctional behavioral pattern, they feel anxious or uncomfortable if their lives are peaceful.  Somehow they have to create a situation in which their frantic behavior can be justified. 

People who are not able to manage stress effectively tend to indulge themselves in emotional eating.  Food is a symbol of love and comfort across cultures, especially for those who associate food with parental approval, love and attention.

5)   Spiritual Imbalance:

As I’ve stated in my book, Breaking the Yeast Curse: Food and Unconditional Love for Magic Healing, many overweight people suffer from spiritual imbalance because they carry a great deal of ‘unfinished businesses’ on their shoulders.  In most cases, they crave approval from their parents.   Some are angry and hurt because they were abused sexually, mentally or physically during their childhood.

The predominant emotions are anger, resentment, grief and regret.  Some even feel sorry for themselves and feel that their negative feelings are well justified.  Usually they are unclear about the purpose of their existences.  They tend to “live to eat,” instead of “eat to live.”

Understanding the causes for your overweight condition will help you focus on the issues you need to work through.  Usually there is a combination of causes.  Therefore, if you want to achieve a long-lasting result in weight loss, you need to employ a holistic approach to balance your body, mind and spirit.
