Cleansing crisis is also known as a healing crisis.  This occurrence is common when one takes our Herbal Detox program- Yeast-Para Control and Cleansing-Balance Tea.  The occurrence is also common for those who simply start a yeast-free nutritional regimen containing no sugar, no dairy, no wheat, no yeasts, no caffeine, no alcohol, no nicotine nor chemicals. 

The reaction occurs when your body tries to eliminate toxins. The more toxic your body systems are, the more severe the detoxification, or healing crisis.

I normally alert my clients of the following:  Whatever symptoms you are experiencing now could be worse.  Additional symptoms you don’t experience currently may also appear.

Some people who are not familiar with the concept of cleansing crisis may jump to the conclusion that they are allergic to Dr. J’s herbs or holistic treatment programs and rush to their MD’s for more prescriptions of antibiotics or cortisone.  The fact is these are signs that the detox program is working effectively to remove the toxins from your body, and thereby allows your body’s innate intelligence to heal you.

Cleansing reactions can occur immediately, or within several days, or even several weeks after you start our Herbal Detox, Hormonal Regeneration, Weight Management, and/or yeast-free nutritional programs.  Going through cleansing crises is like peeling an onion layer by layer.  Cleansing crises are like waves – they come and go. Sometimes “tidal waves” can occur, and you might feel like you were run over by a truck!  Committed clients have told me that they “feel great about feeling miserable”!  Some even take a few days off from work and rest, so that it’s easier for them to go through each cleansing crisis.

Sometimes discomfort during the healing crisis is of greater intensity than when you were developing and enduring the chronic disease. This is why there may be a brief flare-up in your symptoms. Often the crisis will come after you are feeling your best. I called it the “honey moon period”.  After the honey moon period, cleansing crises occur because your body dumps toxins into the blood stream for elimination. When the stored wastes are in a free-flowing state, a variety of symptoms may flare up.

The healing crisis will usually bring about past conditions.  People often forget the diseases or injuries they have sustained in the past, but are usually reminded of during the crisis.

Common Symptoms of Cleansing Crisis:

 There are a wide variety of reactions that may manifest during a healing crisis.

The most common cleansing symptoms include:

  •  Cold or flu-like symptoms
  • Headaches
  • Sinus congestion
  • Extreme fatigue or the opposite: restlessness
  • Arthritis-like pains in the joints
  • Aches and pains in the muscles (fibromyalgia)
  • constipation or Diarrhea
  • Skin rashes including boils and hives
  • Depression
  • Insomnia
  • Nausea
  • Anxiety
  • Mood swings
  • Suppressed memories arise
  • Low grade fever
  • Frequent urination
  • Strong emotions: anger, resentment, sadness, fear, guilt, regrets, etc.

How does one manage a cleansing crisis?

Basically there are two ways:  sharp, short pain, or dull, long pain.  It does not matter which way you chose, the same amount of toxins need to be removed.

You can choose to tough it out and enjoy a clean slate sooner; or you can reduce the dosage of our herbal formulas, and go through a longer journey to cleanse.

Most of my clients drink a substantial amount of Cleansing-Balance Tea to flush out toxins in the liver and kidneys during the cleansing crisis.  One tea bag of Cleansing-Balance Tea makes one pot: 6 cups (8 oz. each cup). Some of my clients drink two pots a day during the cleansing crisis.  Braver clients with situations such as drug addiction or Irritated Bowel Syndrome (IBS) increase the dosage of our herbal formulas to hasten the cleansing effects.  If you need to work and/or perform a certain amount of daily chores, then just reduce the dosage of our herbal formulas and go through a milder, but longer cleansing period.

You also can choose to stop the cleansing crisis and go back to the same unhealthy lifestyle.  However, I have news for you:  it’s not uncommon that these kinds of clients come back to me after they have developed life-threatening diseases such as cancer, tumors, heart disease, etc.  By that time, they would need to spend more resources, time and effort to go through the cleansing crisis, all the while living under the shadow of death.

The choice is yours.  With each choice you make, you need to prepare for the consequences associated with it.  As a helping professional, my job is to simply help my clients live or die more comfortably.

It is common sense that a strong immune system is the foundation for good health.  When your immunity is weak, a variety of diseases can flourish in your body.  Here is an analogy: when the police force is strong in a society, there will be social order; when the police force is weak, gangsters take over, and people would live in chaos and fear.  Scientists have reported that all of us have cancer genes in our body.  It is only when our immune system is compromised that our body cells become fermented and turn into cancer cells.

So the question is: How do I strengthen my immunity?

It seems to be a simple question, but it requires a comprehensive answer.  Base on my more than three decades of clinical experiences helping people from all walks of life heal various health issues, here are my recommendations:

1)    Yeast-Free Nutritional program:

As I have stated in previous articles, a yeast-free nutritional program containing no sugar, no dairy, no wheat, no yeasts, no caffeine, no alcohol, no nicotine, nor chemicals (Dr. J’s Eight Commandments as my clients called it) will prevent new toxins from harming your immune system.  I know this is a tall order because most people are so used to the Standard American Diet (SAD) which is loaded with my no-no’s.  Read my yeast-free cookbook, Healthy and Tasty: Dr. J’s Anti-Yeast Cooking to learn what to eat and what to avoid.  I recommend doing the best you can.  If you can do 50%, you will get 50% of the benefits; if you can do 75%, you will get 75% of the benefits.  Of course, if you make 0% of the effort, you will get 0% of the benefits.

2)    Herbal Detox:

Our Herbal Detox program contains Yeast-Para Control and Cleansing-Balance Tea. Most people understand that their pets need to de-worm periodically. I have news for you: human bodies host yeasts and parasites just like animals.  I recommend Yeast-Para Control and Cleansing-Balance Tea, full-dosage, for at least 3-6 months a year depending on your lifestyle and living environment.  If you already have some health issues, you will need to stay on the Herbal Detox program longer until symptoms subside, then stay on a maintenance dosage.  Since yeasts and parasites go hand in hand, you must treat both simultaneously.  When you are on our Herbal Detox program, you will see the evidence in your toilet.  No need to have laboratory tests to prove that you carry “unwanted tenants!”

5)    Proper Hydration:

6)    Exercise:

Daily exercise improves blood circulation and increases the supply of oxygen and nutrients to your body cells, and thus strengthens your immunity.  Furthermore, yeasts and parasites love a still environment.  A body in motion can reduce yeast and parasitic infections.  Exercise also enhances the absorption of herbal nutrients if you are taking supplements. You don’t need to go to the gym to exercise.  Slow walking or jogging in place is just as effective, and the price is right!  It’s free!

7)    Rest:

When your body is exhausted, the immune system can break down.  Everyone requires different amounts of sleep.  Find a happy medium for your body.  Usually seven to eight hours of sleep is important for your body to recuperate.  If you feel that you aren’t getting enough sleep, then incorporate my ten-minute meditation (see my book, Breaking the Yeast Curse: Food and Unconditional Love for Magic Healing) and/or cat naps during the day which are very effective.

8)    Manage Stress Effectively:

Stress, if managed properly, can motivate and propel you to a higher level of success.  Otherwise, it can cause wear and tear down your immune system.  My book, Breaking the Yeast Curse: Food and Unconditional Love for Magic Healing, gives you many tools to manage your stress effectively.  Emotional Releasing Technique, writing a “Reconciliation Letter”, meditation, prayers, and affirmations are but a few examples.

Your immune system is like a machine containing various sizes of cogs and screws.  Each cog needs to operate harmoniously together in order to yield the best efficiency.  A car needs regular oil and air filter changes every 3,000 miles.  Your body needs regular maintenance just like your car.  Take good care of your body so that you can get best mileage out of it!

Cancer claims more than half a million lives every year. The cost of “treating” cancer patients in the United States alone is over 100 billion dollars a year.  In the past 100 years, cancer research has not made much progress in treating cancer successfully.

 

Causes of Cancer:

Many factors have been associated with cancer.  Tobacco, alcohol, pollution, an unhealthy work environment, food additives, pesticides, drugs, dietary habits and emotional stress have been cited as the most common factors causing cancer.  Based on my more than three decades of clinical experience, I have found that yeast and parasitic infections have been closely associated with cancer.  Yeast and parasitic infections can be labeled as the root of all evils so far as physical health is concerned, with psychological factors being at the core of these roots.  My treatment strategy is to deal with the physical and psychological issues simultaneously.

Holistic Treatment for Cancer:

Some clients chose not to have any invasive treatment methods, while others chose to have surgery and/or chemotherapy, and/or radiotherapy.  I have worked with clients at different stages of cancer with or without Western treatment modalities.  

From a physical perspective, ALL cancer clients experience yeast fermentation in the body.  When the body cells are fermented, they turn into cancer cells.  This has been documented by Dr. Otto Warburg, a Nobel Prize winner in 1931 and Dr. Gaston Naessens, a Canadian biologist.  Since yeasts and parasites are like Siamese Twins, they go hand in hand.  So, both yeast and parasitic infections are present in the cancer condition.  Therefore, I give my clients our Herbal Detox formulas: Yeast-Para Control and Cleansing-Balance TeaYeast-Para Control is designed to remove excess yeasts, parasites, and toxins.  Cleansing-Balance Tea is designed to flush the “debris” and cleanse the liver and kidneys.  Female Vitality or Male Vitality is very helpful when cancer clients are going through chemotherapy or radiotherapy and experience fatigue.  Herbal Cocktail is great for nourishment or combating nausea due to the side effects of chemo or radiotherapy.

According to the National Commission on Sleep Disorders Research, at least 40 million Americans suffer from chronic sleep disorders (insomnia) and another 20 to 30 million experience occasional sleep problems.

Causes of insomnia may include a wide variety of things such as stress (too many things on one’s mind), anxiety, depression, side effects of medication one takes, the amount of caffeine one drinks (caffeinated coffee and/or tea),  going to bed hungry, etc.

Common symptoms of insomnia include:

  • Difficulty falling asleep at night or getting back to sleep after waking during the night.
  • Sleep is light and fragmented
  • The need of taking sleeping pills, and/or use of nightcaps in order to get to sleep.
  • Experience of sleepiness, fatigue, low energy, poor mental concentration, low productivity, depression, and irritability during the day.

Drug Free, Holistic Treatment for Insomnia:

Based on my more than 30 years of clinical experience, the most effective natural remedies are to remove both physical and mental toxins.  The following have been reported by my clients as most effective:

3)    Not Going to Bed Hungry:

4)    Salt Shower and Warm Bath:

Take a salt shower first, then soak in warm to hot water for 10 to 15 minutes before bed.  Salt showers clean the negative energy that has been clinging onto you; and the warm bath relaxes your tight muscles.

5)    Ten-Minute Meditation:

Q.        Why do yeast infection symptoms flare up during the pregnancy? Is it safe for pregnant women to take Dr. J’s herbs?  Why is it so important to do Herbal Detox during pregnancy?

A.        Yes, it is very safe for pregnant women to take our herbal formulas, and in fact recommended.

I highly recommend the Herbal Detoxprogram (including Yeast-Para Control and Cleansing-Balance Tea) during pregnancy because pregnancy tends to make yeast infections symptoms flare up.  Why?  Estrogen levels increase during pregnancy, and so does the blood volume.  When the blood volume increases, blood sugar also increases.  Sugar feeds yeasts and parasites, and the vicious cycle begins.

When the pregnant mother is free of yeast infection symptoms, the baby has a better chance to be born healthy.  I have several “herb baby” clients.  They are healthy, happy, and sleep through the night at an early stage of their infancy.

If the pregnant woman has a severe yeast and parasitic infection that is left untreated, the baby could “inherit” yeast infections through the mother’s blood stream and birth canal.  Symptoms may include mid or inner ear infections, eye infections, and colic.  When intertwined with other factors such as dietary, psychological, and environmental factors, the baby could have Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) or Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD).  (Please refer to previous articles regarding causes of ADD or ADHD).

Q.        I have been depressed for years.  I am now on three kinds of anti-depressants and two kinds of sleeping pills.  Can I take these medications and Dr. J’s products at the same time?  I am on a budget.  What herbal products can I take?

A.        There are no conflicts between our herbal products and antidepressants or sleeping pills.  Symptoms of depression vary among different individuals.  Our herbal products can
provide you with some degree of symptom relief. For example, Herbal Detox (Yeast-Para Control and Cleansing-Balance Tea) is good to remove excess yeasts and parasites in your body, and allow you to sleep better at night.  This may reduce your dependency on sleeping pills.
