Some 5,000 years ago, Shennong (), a Chinese Divine Farmer, tasted hundreds of plants to determine their healing value.  Before Shennong’s research and experiments on the herbs, people were easily sickly and weak.  After he introduced healing herbs, health conditions and the stamina of his people improved.

The discoveries of the Divine Farmer paved the foundation for traditional Chinese medicine.  Shennong is thus considered the father of traditional Chinese medicine.

A few thousand years later, the father of Western medicine, Hippocrates, also emphasized the healing power of nature, diet, rest, and living environment.  Modern day’s drug therapies and surgeries were not the focus of Hippocratic medicine.

You might ask, ‘If I eat healthy, exercise, and rest well, and live in a healthy environment, do I need herbs to maintain good health?”  Theoretically, the answer is no – In practice, the answer is yes!  How many people can honestly claim that they eat healthy, exercise, rest well, and live in a healthy environment?  Many people I encounter are stressed by unhealthy physical and emotional environments.  Furthermore, the foods we eat today tend to not have sufficient nutrients because the soil is contaminated with pesticides and the fruits and vegetable are picked prematurely.

For the above reasons, herbal supplements, which have been used for thousands of years, are highly recommended if you wish to have more energy, better digestion, smooth elimination, freedom from aches and pains, and overall well-being.
