The real problem Americans face is consuming too many simple carbohydrates.  An average American eats 120 pounds of refined sugar per year.   Sugar is everywhere – in bread, pies, cookies, candies, salad dressings, ketchup, etc.  As I’ve indicated repeatedly in previous articles, sugar feeds the yeasts and parasites in your body and facilitates fermentation.  That’s why your stomach feels bloated, your sinuses are congested, and your mind is foggy after consuming refined sugar.

What is the difference between simple and complex carbohydrates?   Simple carbohydrates such as refined sugar in cookies, candies, ice cream, etc. contain “empty calories.”  Empty calories burn and dissipate quickly.  That’s why you get hungry easily even after you’ve had a meal high in empty calories.   Foods that contain complex carbohydrates include whole grains, fruits, and vegetables.  In order for your body to utilize calories generated by complex carbohydrates, foods have to be properly digested.  The digestion and absorption process of complex carbohydrates is slower than that for simple carbohydrates.  That’s why you don’t get hungry easily or crave more foods when you ingest foods containing complex carbohydrates.

What should you do then to maintain a well-balanced diet and not get lost in the diet jungle?  Follow Dr. J’s yeast-free nutritional program!  My clients call the program “Dr. J’s Eight Commandments.”  These Eight Commandments include no refined sugar, no dairy, no wheat, no yeasts, no alcohol, no caffeine, no nicotine, and no chemicals.  All of the above are favorite foods for yeasts and parasites in your body.  When you indulge in the above items, your enemies — yeasts and parasites — will have a rock ‘n roll party in your body!

Some people may not be able to fully commit to Dr. J’s Eight Commandments 100%.  However, if you follow them 50%, you will get 50% of the benefits; if you follow them 75%, you will get 75% of the benefits; and this is better than 0%.  Don’t let the excuse of “either-or” stop you from making an effort.  I have seen people waiting for the “perfect time” such as after the holidays or special occasions.  However, the perfect time would never come and they are still suffering from yeast disorder symptoms (including weight problems) year in and year out.

Once you follow my yeast-free nutritional program, you will enjoy physical and mental fitness on a consistent basis.  This yeast-free nutritional program has stood the test of many decades for thousands of my clients, including myself.  Personally I have lost 50 pounds and kept it off by practicing what I preach.  This life-long dietary habit will also save you 30 to 50% on grocery bills as reported by my clients!

If you wish to learn what you should eat and what you should avoid, go to your local public library to read my books, Breaking the Yeast Curse: Food and Unconditional Love for Magic Healing, and Healthy and Tasty: Dr. J’s Anti-Yeast Cooking.  You may also call our office at 1-800-715-3053 or 818-472-2213 to order hard copies or order e-books online: www.drjsbest.com.  The guidelines provided in these two books are life long guidelines, not just when you want to lose weight or get rid of yeast and parasitic infections.  Once you make a commitment to a healthy lifestyle, you won’t need any fad diets to boost the result!

A short while ago, I posted an article about herbal smoothie for hydration and nourishment for people having difficulty swallowing as result of radiation treatment for throat cancer.  Several people have asked questions about the benefits of herbal smoothie and its indications.  Here is the detailed information:

The recipe of herbal smoothie calls for:

1 cup of purified water

1 cup of sugar-free soy milk, or rice milk, or almond milk, or coconut milk

1 ripe banana (peeled and sliced)

1 scoop of Herbal Cocktail powder

2 capsules of Yeast-Para Control (break the capsules and use the powder content)

1 capsule of Female Vitality or Male Vitality (break the capsule and use the powder content)

Put the mixture in the blender on high speed for 10 seconds.

Here is the rationale for the above ingredients:

  • Purified water: right consistency of the recipe and hydration
  • Sugar-free soy milk, or rice milk, or almond milk, or coconut milk: smooth taste and protein source
  • Ripe banana: naturally sweet taste and smooth elimination
  • Herbal Cocktail:  High concentration of herbal protein, complex carbohydrates, and digestive enzymes. Nourishing the body and stopping sugar craving.
  • Yeast-Para Control: Removing yeasts and parasites, cleansing toxins, and building immunity.
  • Female Vitalityor Male Vitality: Increasing body strength, stamina, and mental clarity, and uplifting mood.

Please note:

1)    ALL the recipes on my yeast-free nutritional program contain no sugar, no dairy, no wheat, no yeasts, no caffeine, no alcohol, nor chemicals.  No sweeteners are needed for this herbal smoothie because a ripe banana is natural sweet.  You may alternate banana with Fuji apple, or pear, or papaya for a variety of tastes and nutrients.

2)    Do not add ice cubes.  When the temperature is icy cold, it prohibits proper absorption.  You may warm up the smoothie to luke warm (body) temperature for tube feeding.

3)    The amount of herbal formulas in this herbal smoothie recipe has been experimented and perfected for a smooth, “non-herby” and delicious taste.  Any deviation may change the taste.

Herbal Smoothie is good for:

  • Difficulty swallowing due to radiation therapy for cancer in the throat area.
  • Difficulty swallowing due to degenerative nervous system such as Lou Gehrig’s disease
  • Gastric-intestinal tract (G-I tract) ulcers such as stomach, esophagus, duodenal, or intestinal ulcers
  • Tube feeding for any reason, any age
  • Children who cannot swallow capsules
  • Weight management: Lose fat or gain muscle weight (may add 1 capsule of Fitness Plus for weight loss).
  • Energy boosting for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, fibromyalgia, Lyme disease, etc.

May have one to three servings per day.

Q.        Can Low Carbohydrate High Fat (LCHF) diet help control yeast overgrowth?

A.        Low Carbohydrate High Fat diet was popular at one time for weight loss.  However, there were some reports of ketosis.  Ketosis is caused by a lack of carbohydrates and can lead to liver and kidney damage.  Half of a 1,800 calorie diet comes from red meats and cheeses.  Our yeast free nutritional program contains no sugar, no dairy, no wheat, no yeasts, no caffeine, no alcohol, no nicotine, nor chemicals.  My clients call it “Dr. J’s Eight commandments.”  Cheese (dairy) is a no-no item on my list.  I also warn people about red meats because they can carry very tough parasites such as tape worms.

To maintain a healthy balance, our body needs complex carbohydrates, high quality protein, and good fat.  If you follow the guidelines in my yeast-free cookbook, Healthy and Tasty: Dr. J’s Anti-Yeast Cooking, you will have a proper balance of nutrients and lose excess weight.  Most of the recipes are vegetarian.  If you prefer animal protein, I recommend a moderate amount of well-cooked chicken or fish.

Our yeast-free nutritional program contains no refined sugar (simple carbohydrates).  It contains a moderate amount of complex carbohydrates needed to fuel to your body.  A typical day’s menu contains approximately 1,400 calories.  You will lose weight, starve yeasts and parasites, and nourish your body at the same time.

Both hard copies and e-books of my yeast-free cookbooks are available.  Visit our website at www.drjsbest.com to order online.  For those who reside outside the U.S., some ingredients in my cookbook may not be available in your part of the world.  You can create your own recipes based on the cooking principles I suggest in the cookbook.  You are also welcome to post questions on my facebook fan page.
